Guest Session on Plants by Ms.Roshni

Grade 2 students and teachers invited a horticulturist - Ms. Roshni as their guest speaker. She is the one who takes care of all plants and trees that are planted around the campus of our school. She enhanced our learning and gave us an insight about different plants and it's variety around the campus. Furthermore, students learnt about adaptation of plants which are native and non-native plants of Hyderabad. They also learnt about defence mechanism in plants. Eventually, they visited the nursery where they saw plants of brinjal, chilli, mint and some decorative plants called the succulent plants which store water in their leaves. In addition to the above, they observed a pond having plants like sedge and lotus flowers in it.

It was fun to see the students' excitement to learn about different plants, their charcterisctics and how are they useful to us in varied ways.
